Ann Galloway

As a fine arts major I’ve painted in acrylics and worked in print making. After a 28 year detour into teaching I took up watercolor painting. I’ve been working in watercolor for about 15 years. I enjoy plein air painting which is painting outdoors as well as studio work. Some of my teachers have been Tom Henderson, Kathy Quiel, Brenda Swenson, Karen McGaw and Julie Merrill. My painting friends and I usually paint in Carpinteria, Santa Barbara and Ventura.I have traveled with painting groups to Italy and France. I was a member of the Buenaventura Art Assn.and participated in their shows. I assist Julie Merrill in her watercolor classes. We have both been in the Ventura Artwalk, The Aloha, and Wine festivals in downtown Ventura. I’ve shown my work in various places such as a secret place salon, Cottage Rehabilitation Hospital, the Blanchard Community Library, Very Ventura Gallery, Max‘s restaurant in Santa Barbara and the Carpinteria arts center. Some of my work is on Instagram and Facebook under my name.
