Julia Sewell creates mandalas, which she blends with vibrant colors, complex textures, and original designs. Mandalas are symmetrical patterns with radial edges. Julia uses acrylic paint and a variety of finishes on a range of materials, including glass, wood, canvas, and other materials.
Julia has a background in dance, languages, graphic and web design. She has a MA in multimedia. Through UC Extension programs, the Mendocino Art Center, and K–12 school classrooms, Julia has taught printmaking and design techniques.
She is also an accomplished Pastry Chef and Chocolatier, dog mom to five-year-old Maggie and 18-year-old cat, Jazz.
